101 Vintage Tee

The 101 Vintage Tee began with a simple idea: to make a white T-shirt we would want to keep returning to.

Made in Japan from 185gsm cotton jersey, the fabric was chosen for its dry, slightly vintage hand and its balance of weight and ease. It has enough structure to hold its shape without feeling heavy, then gradually softens and settles through repeated wear and washing.

The silhouette is relaxed through the body, with a shorter, more considered length. Rather than adding volume everywhere, the proportions were adjusted to give the garment room while keeping it balanced on the frame.

Single-stitch sleeves and a twin-needle hem finish the construction, with a hand-stitched triangle detail at the back collar.

There is very little to hide behind in a white T-shirt. The fabric, proportion and construction have to do the work.
